Development projects in the southern district of Neustadt

1935/36
Major commitment by the Bau-Verein to redevelop the former Gängeviertel quarter of Hamburg. Around 120,000 people are living in dark rows of houses built very closely together. Two residential apartment buildings are built on today´s Kornträgergang and Rademachergang with 50 and 108 apartments each. A rent of 0.90 reichsmark per square metre ensures that there is no lack of tenants.
1912/13
In the southern district of Neustadt, a development project is carried out between the roads Herrengraben, Rehhoff- and Pasmannstraße with 173 flats and residential building for single people with 112 individual rooms.
