Establishment of a joint-stock company

The cooperative is dissolved and Bau-Verein becomes a joint-stock company. On 19 December 1903, the company is entered in the commercial register. The share capital amounts to 1,000,000 marks, the nominal value of the shares is set at 1,000 marks, in accordance with the Stock Corporation Act at the time. The Hamburg Senate confirms the charitable status of the Bau-Verein.
1900
At the Paris Exhibition, Bau- und Sparverein presents colour pictures of its houses in Marienthaler Straße and Stellinger Weg. The achievements receive silver and bronze awards. A change in statutes means that the Bau- und Sparverein is now also able to build residential accommodation for third parties.
