The Bau-Verein Group is one of the top companies in the German residential real estate market. Formerly a non-profit housing construction company, it has been renting and selling bought or newly constructed apartments over a period spanning more than 115 years. Today, its portfolio comprises around 4,000 residential units. During the many decades of successful business, Bau-Verein has proven that profitable operations and awareness of social factors can be successfully combined.In addition to rental and management, its core activities comprise targeted portfolio development as well as the provision of facility management services for third parties. To this very day, it is able to generate stable cash flows and high returns via its own high-quality portfolio. In this connection, the focus is on good locations in urban growth markets such as Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and the Rhine-Main region.
Bau-Verein has branches in Hamburg, Berlin and Munich and employs 69 people (as of December 31, 2009). The Company has been listed on the stock exchange since 1998. Following the last successful equity issue in March 2006, there are currently 23,266,660 shares outstanding. TAG AG holds 91 percent of the share capital, with free float standing at 9 percent.
